The Wedding of Sophie & George
Sophie & George got married back in September at the beautiful High House wedding venue in Althorne, Essex. High House is a relatively new venue nestled away in the Essex countryside in the Dengies. The venue is a family run venue where the farm house (the family home) dates back to 1450.
For as long as I can remember I have been a massive fan of bow ties – I love how simple and elegant they are (lucky me how in fashion they are at the moment!) and George and Sophie did not disappoint. All the boys rocked simple black and white tux with bow ties supplied by Moss Bros.
The morning of the wedding was beautifully calm, Sophie and her bridesmaids got married at her home (which you can see is just as chic as the wedding from the detail photographs) in Essex whilst George got ready with his parents and groomsmen at Creeksea Place in Burnham, just a stones throw away from the venue.
The ceremony itself (the important part!) started just after midday, and was full of laughter and giggles. As well as two photographers, Sophie & George had videographers Click Play film their day. I always recommend videographers to my couples, as timeless and as beautiful as still photographs are, we can’t record those laughs and happy tears like a video can.
Sophie & George wanted a relaxed day and lots of time with their guests (something hugely important to me) and that’s exactly what they got. They were able to spend lots of time greeting guests and mingling while canapés were being eaten. My style of photography doesn’t include hundreds of group portraits which gives my couples time to really enjoy their day whilst still getting absolutely beautiful images.
